Introduction
Castle View School, Canvey Island will be reopened on the site of Furtherwick Park school, which is due to close in 2011. New Build school for 1200 students aged 11-16 and significant ICT investment.

This investment – together with other developments planned for Canvey Island – is going to transform the community in ways we could only dream of five years ago. Our aim is to bring about transformation in young people’s learning achievement through the creation of state of art facilities and buildings incorporating cutting edge technologies. Most of all we intend that, relocated in the centre of the community it serves, our new school ‘makes a statement’ to the Canvey community that learning is important, life-changing, exciting and life-long.
